A: We accept precious‑metal items—gold, silver, etc., and their alloys—from customers all over the U.S. By shipping an item to us in the mail, you’ll receive a payment that reflects the current market value of the metal contained within it.

2️⃣ How do I send my precious‑metal item?
Q: What are the steps to ship an item to you?

A: Here is our process:

Step 1: Order a Kit – Your address will be confirmed, and we will send you a pre-paid return packet. 
Step 2: Security Mail Your Item – Using our pre-paid return packet, wrap the item in anti‑static, bubble wrap, or something similar, and secure it with packing tape.  Drop the package at a USPS/UPS/FedEx location (we accept all major carriers).
Tip: We recommend using a traceable service so you can track delivery.
Step 3: Receive Offer via EMail – You will be notified via email when we receive your item. We will present an offer for you which you can approve or decline.
Step 4: Login to Retrieve Offer – Click the link on your email notification and you can review the offer.
Step 5: Accept Offer – You can accept the offer and chose to receive payment instantly to a financial institution or via check.
Step 6: Receive Funds to Your Bank or via Check. Using PLAID.com's secure link, you can provide your bank information and receive instant full payment within 1-3 business days, or you can receive a check in the mail to the same address for which the kit was originally sent.

3️⃣ How long does it take for my item to be evaluated?
Q: When will I know how much my metal is worth?

A: Processing time: 5–7 business days after we receive the package. Our certified appraisers weigh, test, and verify purity using X‑ray fluorescence (XRF) or other industry‑standard methods. You’ll receive an email with a detailed appraisal report and payment offer.

Q: What factors determine my payout?

A: The price we pay equals:

Current Spot Price of the metal (updated daily).
Purity / Carat of the item (e.g., .999 gold, 18‑k silver).
Weight in grams or ounces (measured by our scale).
Appraisal Fees (fixed $25 fee per item, waived for bulk shipments).
The calculation is transparent and shown in your appraisal report.
